Number of Positions: 2 | Seaboard & Armour Office Location: Dartmouth, NS Department: Finance Type: In Office Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm Term: January - April Position Overview: As an Accounting Co-op Student, you won’t just be working behind the scenes—you’ll gain a full picture of how our business operates. Working closely with our Accounting team and Director of Finance, you’ll contribute to meaningful work while building valuable connections across the organization. This program goes beyond the numbers. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with senior leadership, meet department heads to better understand the business, and experience operations firsthand through job shadowing, ride-alongs, and cross-functional tours. What You'll Be Doing: Perform reconciliations for broker accounts, bank accounts, and various GL accounts Prepare and post manual and recurring journal entries Support month-end close activities Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Contribute to special projects and other accounting-related tasks What Makes This Opportunity Unique: Exposure to senior leadership and business strategy discussions Cross-functional learning through department meetings and operational tours Hands-on experience beyond Finance, including ride-alongs and job shadowing End-of-term presentation to senior leadership team to showcase what you’ve learned and how you’ve contributed Job Requirements: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) Solid organizational and analytical abilities A proactive, professional approach when working with internal and external stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset High energy, curiosity, and a desire to learn Apply today to gain real-world experience and make an impact!
