The Shed & Stonehaven, a restaurant and banquet facility in Aurora, is actively recruiting passionate candidates in our Food & Beverage department. The Shed is a member-based restaurant, offering casual, upscale service to its members. Stonehaven is a new banquet hall and conference centre located within the same facility. Whether serving an unforgettable meal to our members on our expansive patio, or being a part of someone?s happily ever after, we want to provide an outstanding and memorable guest experience no matter the occasion. *Responsibilities for Dishwasher:* Report to the Chef and Sous Chef · Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine · Unload dishes and utensils from dish machine and organize them properly · Wash and sanitize all pots, sheet trays and pans. · Properly stack cleaned china, glassware, silverware, cookware, pots, pans and storage containers. · Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels. · Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed. · Empty trash containers regularly. · Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. · Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift. · Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift. · Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed. · Assists in the storing of food deliveries. · Perform additional cleaning duties as requested *Qualifications for Dishwasher:* High school diploma or general education Restaurant or customer service experience preferred Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Working knowledge of sanitation procedures Ability to read, write, and speak in English Full-time and Part Time roles available Schedule: Due to the nature of the industry, availability including day, evening and weekend work is required. Great flexibility offered to work around other job/school schedules if required. Experience: Previous dishwashing experience preferred but willing to train enthusiastic candidates eager to learn Criminal record check will be required as part of the hiring process and provided free of charge to successful candidates.
