Job summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the oversite of inventory, operation procedures, and equipment within our assembly warehouse. This position provides day-to-day direction and assignments to warehouse staff and manages time and attendance for reporting team members. This position reports directly to our Warehouse Manager and works in partnership with management on any improvements for process and people operations. Essential Job Functions Provide direction to warehouse staff regarding daily assignments and responsibilities listed below. Assist in coordinating the workflow including movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Put new inventory in a warehouse location and complete corresponding transactions in the computer. Issuing materials to production jobs. Receipt of production into inventory. Inventory management. Manage and maintain day and weekly cycle count schedules. Receive inventory during intercompany transfers and outside suppliers per SMC procedures. Follow procedures and provide team direction for outbound domestic and international shipments. Communicate with carriers for the scheduling of shipments or resolution of transit issues. Responsibility for some equipment maintenance is required. Ability to compose professional emails to internal and external clients/customers. Maintains a safe and clean work area. Performance appraisals as required including involvement in disciplinary action. Training of temps and new employees. Any other duties as assigned by management. Job Qualifications Education and Experience: 3-5 years previous warehouse experience a plus. 1-2 years Lead or Supervisor experience. Knowledge/Skills: Computer skills Forklift experience / license Must be able to read, write, and speak English Strong attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis throughout the workday and operate solely in a manufacturing environment. Compensation and Benefits Expected Compensation Range: Hourly, non-exempt- $28-$35 Specialty Manufacturing is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
