The Class 1 Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of wood residual fibre products throughout the Kootenays and surrounding regions. This role operates Super B and Quad configurations, conducts vehicle inspections, secures and transports loads, completes electronic logging and compliance requirements, and ensures equipment is maintained to the highest standards. Additional premiums, allowances, and benefits may apply. Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating day and night shifts, allowing you to be home daily. Additional weekend work may be available based on operational requirements. Additional Compensation: Overtime pay after 60 hours, paid chain-up and wait time Responsibilities Conduct pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road worthiness and regulatory compliance. Load and unload wood residual fibre products in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure safe transportation of freight by securing goods while loading and unloading. Tarp vehicle using manual or auto tarps as available. Chain-up vehicle based on road conditions. Complete all electronic records regarding working hours, vehicle status and maintenance records using the industry’s best fleet management system, ISAAC. Ensure trucks are left clean and safe at the end of each shift.
