Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)

Position Summary Reporting to both the Crew Chief and the Maintenance Manager, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, servicing, inspecting, repairing and performing mechanical maintenance to an aircraft before it is considered airworthy. Personal Characteristics Mechanical aptitude, trainable Strong knowledge of basic hand tools Highly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environment Professional and respectful, with a positive work attitude Timely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essential Motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective verbal and written communication skills High level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communities Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft Marshal and tow aircraft Reconfigure aircraft interiors from passenger to cargo to medivac Maintain a clean and organized work environment Work indicated by supervisor Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications Valid AME License with either M1 or M2 rating required Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset Working Conditions Physically able to perform all listed job duties Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily Repetitive tasks Various shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline Methods and procedures described or implied in the job profile may be altered to accommodate employees. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure aircraft airworthiness. Additional duties include marshalling, towing, and reconfiguring aircraft interiors for various operational needs.

Candidates must hold a valid AME license with an M1 or M2 rating and possess strong mechanical aptitude. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment and maintain high standards of safety and on-time performance.
