Job summary
Job Summary The Lead Project Coordinator focused on Employer & Sector Engagement will provide day-to-day leadership for the initiative while taking the lead in building relationships with local employers, industry representatives, and workforce partners. This is a highly outward-facing role for someone who enjoys networking, developing partnerships, identifying opportunities, engaging the business community, and moving projects forward. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of project activities, priorities, timelines, and deliverables, with a particular focus on industry and skilled trades, health care, and the service sector. Engage businesses around Sarnia-Lambton to identify recruitment needs, workforce challenges, skills gaps, and employment opportunities. Organize and participate in employer meetings, networking activities, sector events, job fairs, and community events. Gather and share local labour market information, including hiring trends, occupational demand, skills needs, and emerging opportunities. Coordinate project marketing, employer communications, promotional activities, and community visibility. Provide regular project updates and contribute to project reporting, evaluation, and sustainability planning.
