Y Canberra Region is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 2nd Qualified Educator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team at North Ainslie Primary School. About The Role You will help create engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to a strong child-safe culture. This position requires availability Monday to Friday during the following operating hours: Before School Care: 7:00 am – 9:00 am After School Care: 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm As a 2nd Qualified Educator, You Will Also Receive 10 hours of dedicated programming time per fortnight. Paid professional development to support your ongoing learning and career progression. What You’ll Bring A genuine passion for working with school-aged children and their families. The ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues. At least one year’s experience working with children over preschool age in an Outside School Hours Care environment (OSHC in ACT/OOSH in NSW). Successful completion of at least one year of full-time equivalent study, or the part-time equivalent, towards a recognised diploma or bachelor’s degree. An understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), My Time, Our Place Framework, and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. The ability to create engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences. A commitment to maintaining a strong child-safe culture and upholding the highest safeguarding standards. A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification is desirable. Certificates and checks Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain before commencement. Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain. Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain. Training Completion Of The Following Training Is Required Before Commencement Y Mandatory Internal Training: All required organisational online learning modules. Geccko – Foundations of Child Safety: Courses 1 & 2, or willingness to complete before commencement. Geccko – Advanced Child Safety: Courses 3 & 4, or willingness to complete before commencement. Geccko – Leading and Governing Child Safety: Course 5, or willingness to complete before commencement. Requirements

Applicants need at least one year of experience working with children over preschool age in an OSHC setting and at least one year of full-time-equivalent study toward a recognized diploma or bachelor's degree. They should understand relevant childcare frameworks and regulations, and hold or be willing to obtain required safety certifications and complete safeguarding training.
