Job Description: Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator – Azure Cloud. Location: Toronto, ON. Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Employment Type: Contract. Contract Duration: Starts with 12 Months. Experience: 10+ Years. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator with strong knowledge of Azure Cloud infrastructure, server administration, troubleshooting, and cloud operations. The candidate should have hands-on experience managing Linux servers in on-premises and Azure cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). Manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including Virtual Machines, storage, networking, and backups. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure server availability. Manage user accounts, permissions, SSH, file systems, and security patches. Perform server upgrades, patch management, and vulnerability remediation. Support cloud migration, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities. Work with Azure networking, NSGs, VNets, and load balancing. Automate routine administration tasks using Shell or Bash scripting. Monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Handle incident management, root-cause analysis, and production support. Required Skills: 10+ years of experience in Linux System Administration. Strong hands-on experience with RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu. Practical experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services. Knowledge of Azure VMs, VNets, NSGs, storage accounts, and backups. Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Good knowledge of networking, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and SSH. Scripting experience in Shell or Bash. Knowledge of security hardening, patching, and disaster recovery. Good to Have: Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ-104). Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools. Experience with ITIL, incident management, and change management.
