Job summary
Thiessen Safety Consulting is hiring — 2 Field Safety Advisors We're growing across Saskatchewan, and we need people who'd rather be on-site than behind a desk. A quick gut check before you apply: if your idea of a site visit is a windshield tour and a signature, this isn't for you. If "I'll write it up later" is your permit-to-work philosophy, we're not compatible. And if you think a hard hat and a clipboard are the whole job, you're going to find this role uncomfortable. We're looking for advisors who know that real safety happens in conversations with crews, not in a binder. People who can walk a site, spot the thing nobody flagged, and have the credibility to actually get it fixed — because workers trust them and supervisors listen to them. What the job actually looks like: - Conducting site inspections and writing corrective action reports that get acted on, not filed - Supporting COR/Avetta/ISNetworld compliance for clients across construction, oil & gas, industrial, and ag - Running toolbox talks and coaching crews in the moment, not just documenting after the fact - Working inside SiteDocs and similar platforms — comfortable with tech, not intimidated by it - Occasionally being the person who has to say "stop" and back it up - Travel across SK sites, some multi-day/multi-stop trips What you'll need: - Current certifications: First Aid, Fall Protection (Advanced First Aid is a bonus) - NCSO, CRST, or CRSP - A trades or field background, this can't be faked - A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation - Thick skin, a good sense of humour, and the nerve to have a hard conversation with a supervisor twice your size What you won't need: - A love of paperwork for its own sake - An aversion to gravel, mud, or -30°C mornings - Patience for corner-cutting Details: - Location: Based out on site - Type: Full Time Project Based - Compensation: $50/hr - Start date: Immediately If your former clients and crews would vouch for you without hesitation, that's exactly who we want. Send your resume and current certifications to [email protected] We're not filling two seats. We're finding two people.
