Job details

Entrepreneurial Lawyer — Western Canada Expansion Location: British Columbia, Alberta or Saskatchewan Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 annually, plus an opportunity to participate in long-term value creation Ticket911 is looking for an entrepreneurial lawyer to help establish and grow our practice in Western Canada. For more than 17 years, we’ve developed a model for representing clients in traffic, driving-related and criminal matters. Now, we’re bringing that experience, along with our systems, marketing capabilities and operational approach, to British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is a practising litigation role with an opportunity to help build a business. You’ll represent clients, appear in court and work directly with leadership to shape Ticket911’s Western Canadian operations. What you’ll do Represent clients in traffic, driving-related and provincial offence matters. Handle criminal defence litigation arising from driving-related offences, including impaired-driving matters. Appear in court and develop your advocacy and trial experience. Build expertise in the legislation, procedures and court systems relevant to your practice. Help adapt Ticket911’s legal and operating model to Western Canadian jurisdictions. Contribute to market-entry planning, client acquisition and business development. Help recruit and coordinate legal and operational resources as the practice grows. Identify ways to improve service delivery through technology, automation and AI. Take on increasing legal and leadership responsibility as the operation develops. Who we’re looking for You’re a lawyer who enjoys advocacy and wants to do more than follow a traditional associate path. You’re interested in criminal defence, impaired-driving and traffic litigation—and you’re equally curious about how to build and grow a legal practice. Approximately one to two years of legal experience would be a good fit, but we’re especially interested in your initiative, ability to learn quickly and willingness to take ownership. Experience with the Criminal Code, provincial traffic or motor vehicle legislation, regulatory offences or courtroom litigation in British Columbia, Alberta or Saskatchewan is an asset. Why join Ticket911? You’ll have the chance to combine hands-on legal practice with entrepreneurship and business development. As our Western Canadian operations grow, this role could develop into a significant leadership position. The base salary is $80,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The role also offers an opportunity to participate in the long-term value created by the Western Canadian operation; the structure will be discussed with qualified candidates. If you’ve ever thought, “I became a lawyer, but I also want to build something,” we’d like to hear from you. To apply, please submit your résumé and a short introduction explaining what interests you about the combination of litigation, entrepreneurship and building a business.
