Job summary
As a Custodian, you will perform all duties related to the upkeep and maintenance of a tour-ready, state-of-the-art industrial manufacturing organization that builds equipment dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. Location: 1403 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON Dedicated Afternoon Shift: 4:30pm - 3:00am, Monday - Thursday Shift Premium: $3.00 per hour for afternoons Job Duties Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and floor-sweeping/scrubbing machines to remove dirt, scraps, coolant, oil and heavy debris from office and shop floor areas Collect waste and recycling from the shop floor, offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, etc. and dispose in appropriate outdoor bins/compactors Dispose of recycled cardboard in the compactor and bale cardboard as required Mop, clean and sanitize washrooms, lunchrooms, and the kitchenettes, including high-touchpoints in the facility, such as doorknobs, light switches, etc Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings Outdoor/yard cleanup Distribute paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in washrooms Maintain an inventory of sanitary and janitorial supplies Skills and Experience Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes or unexpected events Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to complete daily cleaning tasks Physical requirements include the use of strength such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during the work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside Qualifications Experience cleaning within manufacturing environments (shopfloor and office) Knowledge of safe chemical and solvent handling practices Experience operating a forklift or willing to learn What We Can Offer You Family-Oriented Company: Lots of social events, BBQ’s, pizza parties and more!
