Job details

ABOUT TIMIA TIMIA provides flexible, non-dilutive debt capital to growing B2B technology companies, enabling founders to fund growth without giving up equity or control. TIMIA has invested over $200M across B2B SaaS and tech businesses in North America. TIMIA is backed by Round13 Capital, a leading Canadian venture capital and growth fund. THE ROLE TIMIA is hiring a Chief of Staff to support business development, strategic projects, and fund operations. The role combines fund operations with direct involvement in deal sourcing and early diligence, giving you exposure to the full deal lifecycle. This role is broad in scope and will evolve as the fund grows. Responsibilities may include managing referral relationships, sourcing new deals, board and investment committee reporting, special projects for the CEO, internal process design, and supporting the use and refinement of AI tools across business development and fund operations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants exposure to all parts of the business. WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON Strategic projects: Work closely with the CEO and COO to lead an evolving list of key initiatives. Business development: Manage referral relationships, source new deals, and support early diligence. Fund operations: Support all aspects of fund management, including board and LP requests, deal processes, and daily operations. AI and automation: Support the use and refinement of AI tools across business development, GTM, reporting, and internal workflows. Communications: Prepare internal and external communications, presentations, and briefing materials for the CEO, COO, Board, and investors. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR ~2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or similar experience. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to move between strategic and hands-on work. Strong problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong financial acumen, including the ability to read financial statements and evaluate business performance. Keen interest in using AI tools; experience applying or refining them in work setting is a plus. High degree of ownership and discretion. WHY JOIN US Regular, direct exposure to the CEO, COO, and Board members. Broad scope across the fund, including the chance to work directly on our deals. Opportunity to shape how the fund uses AI tools across business development and operations. Small team where your work has direct impact.
