What You’ll Do This position will ensure the accuracy and completeness of TJX financial statements and support cross-functional business partners on reporting and analysis. Prepare and consolidate financial statements and supporting schedule (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow etc.) with a focus on specific portfolios such as Payroll, Lease Accounting, or Fixed Assets. Prepare journal entries, complex accruals, account reconciliations and variance resolution. Complete P&L variance analysis and commentary for management review Prepares monthly and quarterly review packages for Senior Leaders by compiling the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and other reporting as required. Establish and maintain business partnerships with various functional areas to help monitor expenses, increase visibility and accountability by providing financial support (via trend analysis, enhanced reporting, ad-hoc reports or analysis). About You A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in Accounting and Finance or Audit. Post secondary education in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics). CPA designation is considered an asset; CPA designation in progress (CFE exam successfully passed) will be taken into consideration. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statement analysis abilities. Proven abilities identifying, organizing, analyzing data across multiple databases and spreadsheets. Proven analytical thinking, ability to identify problems, weigh the risks or cost implications of different solutions, and advise on options in support of effective decision-making by leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to interpret and articulate complex data insights and flexing communication style to appropriately suit the intended audience. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, build effective professional relationships, foster trust and teamwork across the organization. Strong spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) and financial analysis skills; able to manipulate large data sets amongst Microsoft Office Suite applications. Experience utilizing data analytics, visualization, automation or budgeting tools is considered an asset.
