What you will be doing: Supervise and schedule a team repair technicians, assigning work based on priority, complexity, and turnaround commitments. Serve as the escalation point for difficult failures, including intermittent faults, microcontroller and network-interface problems, and power-stage failures. Develop and maintain repair procedures, test protocols, and a knowledge base of common failure modes by board type. Build and maintain test fixtures and load-testing setups to verify repairs before boards ship. Source replacement and obsolete components, working with distributors and evaluating suitable substitutes. Enforce quality standards, including ESD handling, soldering workmanship and documented final testing. Track key metrics such as turnaround time, first-pass yield, and warranty returns, and drive improvements. Train new technicians and develop the skills of the existing team. What do you bring: Required 5+ years of component-level electronics repair experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Strong analog and digital circuit knowledge, including power electronics (IGBTs, gate drivers, SMPS), microcontrollers, and industrial communication interfaces. Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, bench power supplies, component testers, and thermal cameras. Advanced through-hole and SMD soldering and rework skills Ability to read schematics and to trace circuits on undocumented boards. Strong organizational skills and clear written and verbal communication. Preferred Experience with elevator controllers, VFDs, or other industrial control equipment.
