Toromont Cat is looking for a Yard Person to join our team in Dartmouth! Our Yard Person provides superior service to support internal and external customers by maintaining the daily operation of yard inventory including the shipping and receiving of equipment. Pay Type Full Time, Permanent Compensation $49,845.00 to $62,305.00 The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available. As a Yard Person, YOU will experience: * Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority * Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand * Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success * Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) * An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: * Demonstrate safe, environmentally responsible, and healthy work behaviors aligned with Toromont’s Health & Safety Policies and Programs. * Occupy the gatehouse and manage all vehicle traffic entering and exiting the yard. * Provide clear directions and assistance to customers and truck drivers upon arrival. * Confirm all individuals entering the facility have the required PPE and provide guidance when needed. * Monitor and review video footage as required to support site safety and security. * Help coordinate heavy‑equipment shipping and receiving activities. * Organize, track, and file all documentation accurately and on time. * Ensure the building is fully secured at the end of each shift.
