Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and mechanically/electrically capable Overhead Crane & Hoist Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and commissioning of overhead cranes, hoists and related lifting equipment. The successful candidate will work primarily at customer facilities and must be comfortable diagnosing mechanical, electrical and control-system problems on a variety of overhead lifting equipment. Qualifications: o Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience servicing overhead cranes, hoists, motors, or similar industrial material handling equipment. o Electrician certification/millwright background is an asset. o Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments. o Valid Ontario driver's license and acceptable driving record. o Experience operating forklifts / scissor lifts / boom lifts o Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. o Ability to complete accurate service documentation. o Experience with pendant and radio-controlled cranes. o Experience with motors, brakes, contactors, relays, limit switches and control circuits. o Experience with VFDs and modern crane control systems is an asset. o Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. o Strong electrical troubleshooting skills. o Ability to use electrical test equipment such as a multimeter. o Ability to work independently with limited supervision. o Strong customer service and communication skills. Compensation: Salary: $35–$52/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements

Candidates must be able to work at heights, hold a valid Ontario driver's license, read schematics and drawings, and work independently; electrician certification or a millwright background is an asset.
