Our client, a well-established construction and infrastructure contractor, is seeking an Estimating Manager to join their Foundations division. The successful candidate will lead the estimating function for foundation and geotechnical construction projects while supporting strategic pursuits, client relationships, and the continued growth of the business. This position can be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, or Toronto. Key Responsibilities: Lead the estimating process for foundation and geotechnical construction projects from opportunity review through final bid submission. Manage estimating schedules, bid execution plans, pricing strategies, and proposal requirements. Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, qualifications, clarifications, and pricing recommendations. Lead pre-bid reviews, risk assessments, bid closings, and project handovers for successful pursuits. Manage, mentor, and develop estimating staff while planning resources around upcoming pursuits and workload. Work closely with senior leadership to identify and evaluate new project opportunities and develop pursuit strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners. Support prequalifications, EOIs, proposals, presentations, and other business development initiatives. Ensure estimating activities follow established processes, risk management practices, and company standards. Ideal Candidate Requirements: Extensive estimating, preconstruction, or business development experience within construction or civil infrastructure. Strong understanding of estimating, bid management, cost development, risk assessment, and proposal processes. Foundations, piling, shoring, ground improvement, geotechnical, or heavy civil experience. Previous experience leading and mentoring estimating teams. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess contractual requirements, project risks, and opportunities. Proven ability to develop relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and industry partners. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is an asset. P.Eng., Gold Seal, PMP, or similar professional designation is considered an asset. Why this Firm?
