Maintain the bid board, track tender deadlines, and follow up on submitted bids. Participate in pricing negotiations, bid presentations, and pre-mobilization meetings. Complete estimate handovers to operations following successful awards. Train and mentor estimating staff on company processes, systems, and estimating standards. Ideal Candidate Requirements: Minimum 7 years of civil construction estimating experience. Strong hands-on experience with underground utilities, roadworks, excavation, and shoring. Strong working proficiency with HeavyBid, including hands-on experience building detailed estimates within the software. Demonstrated experience bidding work for both private and public-sector owners. Strong understanding of civil construction methods, production rates, labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing. Ability to lead and mentor other estimators while remaining actively involved in producing estimates. Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and analytical skills. Why this Firm? Competitive base salary of $150,000–$180,000/year. Opportunity to take a lead role within the estimating department. Remain hands-on with estimating while developing your leadership and management responsibilities. Clear opportunity for the position to grow as the estimating function and company continue to expand. Diverse project exposure across underground utilities, roadworks, excavation, and shoring. Work across both private developments and competitively tendered public infrastructure projects. Join a growing Lower Mainland civil contractor with a strong project pipeline and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
