Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Elevator Technician role based in Burnaby, BC. The Elevator Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing home elevators and related lift systems in residential settings, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing troubleshooting procedures, and replacing or adjusting components as needed. The role also involves documenting work performed, following safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines, communicating clearly with clients about system use and maintenance, and coordinating with the project and renovation teams to integrate elevator systems into broader accessibility solutions. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Elevator Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair for residential elevators and lift systems. Candidates should possess solid experience working with Elevators, including installation, inspection, and safe operation practices. Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Electricity related to elevator controls, wiring, and safety procedures. Relevant technical training or certification in elevator mechanics, electrical, or a related trade is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications. Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and adherence to local codes and regulations. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites within the Lower Mainland. Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach when working in clients’ homes.
