Job summary

Employer Overview Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by supplying superior rental equipment, transportation services and product support. Reporting to the Branch Manager, Winch Tractor and Bed Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and professional transportation of equipment in compliance with company and customer policies and procedures as well as government regulation. The driver must be in possession of a valid Class 1 driver’s license and well as all required training certificates. The driver will utilize the unit as a light bed truck, hauling loads within the manufacturer’s specification for both off road and legal on road. This position is fulltime and will be based out of our Grande Prairie location. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Checks the oil and starts the truck for warm up * Completes a pre, post and en route trip inspection as well as associated paperwork * Contacts dispatch to ensure clear directions * Hooks up and decks off the trailer * Chains up the truck if muddy or icy * Loading and chaining down loads (e.g. rig components, rental equipment) * Pulling the winch line Lifting 3’ x 10’ planking Doing some 2” and 3” pipe handling * Accessing and exiting the truck deck * Rig up the Texas rigging * Ensures the safety of surrounding workers * Training and guidance of swamper * Organizes work on lease operation * Organizes loads * Haul specific loads off the lease and/or reload on other units * Liaises with customer's onsite representative as required. * Identify hazards * Maintenance requirements of the unit * Ensures the safe operation of the unit and equipment as per manufacturer’s specs * Other related duties as required What We Offer * Competitive compensation package * Immediate Health & Dental benefit coverage * Generous Employee Stock Savings Plan – 150% employer match contribution * Committed to employee advancement and education We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
