Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Position Summary Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Branch Manager, will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to a multi-faceted team with the focus of ensuring branch operations are carried out in a safe, responsible, and cost-effective manner. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced manager or supervisor looking for a long-term, career opportunity. Time Commitment 5 days on, 2 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Grow and develop sales markets and distribution opportunities. * Provide leadership and mentor direct reports and other branch employees * Must be comfortable actively engaging in day-to-day branch activities as well as being the key representative of the company in the area to both existing and potential customers. * Have a “hands on” approach to the to the operations; direct involvement and input to the daily activities. When the branch manager is not the “on call” person, he/she must be able to give direct support to the operation. * Coordinate customer requests by efficiently expediting the rental equipment, the trucking and the purchase orders. * Supervise the sales and dispatch functions * Oversees the recruitment as well as performance management functions within the branch * Responsible for timecard, time off requests approval or any similar timekeeping related activities of the branch * Assist in coordinating manpower and equipment in an acceptable state of readiness (for both rental and trucking equipment) * Ensures the branch’s compliance in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws. * Direct, manage, and coordinate safety to promote safe work activities. Oversee safety related training. Comply with federal legislation and oversee safety and occupational health related reporting. * Keeps up and plays an active role in the equipment inventories in the branch * Available for on call after hours and on weekends. Required Competencies * 5+ years of management or supervisory experience in drilling, completions and general oilfield hauling with responsibility for both personnel and operations in the service industry. * Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships through consistently providing a high-quality customer service and brand visibility. * Available to provide support to employees and operations both after hours and on weekends. * Class 5 drivers’ license required (Class 1 preferred) * Clean drivers’ abstract * Ability to pass pre-employment as well as ongoing drug and alcohol tests. Requirements
Candidates must have over 5 years of management experience in drilling, completions, and oilfield hauling within the service industry. A Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving abstract are required, along with the ability to pass drug and alcohol tests.
