Vacuum Truck Operator/Driver Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by supplying superior rental equipment, transportation services and product support. Position Summary Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Vacuum Truck Operator/Driver to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Vacuum Truck Driver, will be responsible for This position will be based in our Blackfalds location. Time Commitment 11 days on/ 3 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Safe operation of diesel PTO driven vacuum pump and blower systems * Rig in equipment including hoses, valves, vent lines, bonding, and grounding cables * Perform routine emergency maintenance, repairs to truck, piping, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems * Operation of air driven valves * Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment * Complete required daily paperwork including time tickets and vehicle inspections * Loading of vacuum tank and approved load levels based on road bans and conditions * Unloading of DOW material into approved piping systems, tanks, and waste handling facilities * Maintain inventories of supplied equipment and chemicals to ensure equipment is operational at all times * Maintain logbooks in accordance with DOT standards * Serve as a subject matter expert for confined space operations, industrial hygiene and first aid * Working with Total Operations team to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of Total Oilfield’s Rental equipment * Apply required chemicals to treat materials for LEL's, odors, foaming, etc. * Other related duties as required Required Competencies * Experience working on drilling rig locations, understanding the dynamics entailed * Class 3 an asset for operation of Vac-Truck * Class 1 licensing allows Semi-Vac work opportunities * A strong mechanical aptitude * Current First Aid, H2S, Confined Space * Physically fit and of reasonable strength; capable of working outside in all weather conditions * Clean commercial drivers abstract (3 years) * Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing and pre-employment physical demands * Ability to accommodate working on location for an extended period of time * Strong team player looking for the opportunity to excel in a fast paced growing environment * Ability to work unsupervised What We Offer * Competitive compensation package * Health & Dental benefit coverage * Generous Employee Stock Savings Plan – 150% employer match contribution * Committed to employee advancement and education We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
