This is a full-time, permanent position working on commercial HVAC projects throughout Edmonton and North Central Alberta. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems Install HVAC equipment, components, ducting and related mechanical systems under appropriate supervision Assist with testing installed HVAC systems and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and technical drawings appropriate to your experience level Develop troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in the field Complete assigned work in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, project specifications and Total standards Follow company safety procedures and applicable safety regulations Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain accurate job documentation as required Communicate job progress, deficiencies and concerns to the appropriate Journeyman or supervisor Work effectively with Journeymen, supervisors, project managers and other trades Maintain tools, equipment and work areas Take responsibility for continued development of your trade knowledge and skills Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Skills & Qualifications Registered HVAC/Refrigeration apprentice Minimum 1 year of HVAC experience Strong mechanical aptitude Developing knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and components Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings appropriate to apprenticeship level Ability to safely use applicable hand and power tools Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Strong attention to detail Ability to take direction and apply feedback Ability to work effectively as part of a project team Strong communication skills Commitment to safe work practices Valid driver's licence What Total Offers Competitive apprentice wages based on apprenticeship level and experience Dental care Life insurance Opportunities for continued training and trade development Exposure to a variety of commercial HVAC projects and systems Opportunities for advancement as your skills and apprenticeship progress Support from experienced tradespeople, project management, operations and leadership The opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing mechanical company What Success Looks Like at Total Success in this position means showing up ready to learn, producing safe and quality work, taking ownership of your responsibilities and continuing to develop your technical capabilities. What you’ll do

Requirements

Must be a registered HVAC/Refrigeration apprentice with at least one year of experience and a valid driver's license. Requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
