The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Programmer, Specialty Programs this casual position is responsible for the delivery of a safe and customer focused learn to skate program. * Prepare and implement program content based on program objectives outlined by the Town and the certifying agency. * Prepare course facilities, teaching material and equipment including program outlines, lesson plans and material for participants as required. * Provide program instruction/leadership at the appropriate skill level of participants; start and end program on time. * Perform administrative tasks (i.e., attendance, preparation, Injury and Incident Reports etc.). * Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned. The Ideal Candidates We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are looking to gain valuable experience in a variety of programs with Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR- C and AED. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in hockey, figure skating, power skating etc. or a demonstrated ability to skate at an advanced level. Certification in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development is considered an asset. The candidates will have demonstrated ability to facilitate program delivery and have excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, organization skills with attention to detail. These candidates will also possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position offers an hourly rate of $19.01 with up to 24 hours per week. Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
