The incumbent validates invoices, ensures proper coding and documentation, processes weekly payment runs, maintains vendor reconciliations, and supports accurate financial reporting and audit readiness. The incumbent works within the Sage Intacct financial operating system and provides professional client service to Departments, vendors, Citizens, financial institutions and auditors. An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires. Essential Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by a degree, diploma or coursework in bookkeeping, accounting or a relevant field, along with two years of work experience in finance or administration (preferred); an equivalent combination of education, knowledge, skills and experience may be considered. Working knowledge of financial databases and AP processes. Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar ERP is an asset. Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Strong planning, organizational, prioritization, multitasking and time management skills. Ability to meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to prepare accurate documentation from verbal or written instructions. Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, procedures and GAAP.
