What you will do: Deploy, test, measure & verify AI control algorithms for existing building control systems Analyze and improve the building control system to optimize the energy consumption and the zoning comfort Contribute to the development of the different HVAC algorithms Participate cross-functionally with teams for building deployments & performance analysis Work closely with customers to develop new HVAC control sequence, advise on repairs control systems Improve company tools, templates, and processes related to energy consumption analysis and building performance analysis Able to understand HVAC mechanical plans and wiring diagrams Provide training and follow-up training on HVAC system controls to customers Document work processes and procedures Identify, analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner Provide, analyze and review performance reports & advise corrective action plans & review feedback with different departments. Other tasks as assigned What you will bring: DEC or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or related field 5 plus years of experience with building automation and HVAC control system Experience with DDC, PLC or similar programming in BAS and HVAC control In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, electrical and building operations Experience with commissioning building HVAC automation controls and systems Thorough understanding of building control theory and concepts Diverse experience in proprietary controls is a plus (JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Alerton, Delta, Niagara, Schneider/TAC, etc.) Experience with building management system protocols like, BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks Strong organizational and communication skills Strong reporting skills. Strong interpersonal skills, charismatic and able to present easily. Strong Energy Management and performance checking skills. Strong Trend log reading, analysis, finding actionable insights & reporting skills . Familiar with the programming language python Language Requirements French-English bilingualism is required. In addition to fluency in French, successful candidates must have full professional proficiency in English in order to support and collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or various stakeholders. As detailed in the job description, this position requires regular oral and written communication with other Trane teams located across Canada and occasionally the United States, with English speaking customers across Canada, and with English speaking vendors or suppliers across Canada and occasionally the United States. Based on an assessment of the duties of this position, we have determined that the position requires daily oral and written use of English, in addition to French.
