Position Overview As Sales Representative – Business Development, you will identify new opportunities, develop client relationships, and support industrial sales growth for treated wood products, including wood access mats, utility poles, and other industrial wood solutions. This is a remote role requiring regular territory travel. You will be backed by an experienced logistics, procurement, and supply chain team to support sales execution. Key Responsibilities · Develop and manage a portfolio of industrial customers across the Northeast U.S. or Canada. · Identify and pursue new business opportunities for wood mats, poles, and other industrial treated wood products. · Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams. · Prepare follow-ups, proposals, and presentations tailored to industrial customer needs. · Travel regularly within the assigned territory, approximately one-third of the time, to meet customers and develop the market. Required Qualifications · 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or field representation, preferably in a lumber and /or industrial environment. · Strong abilities in screening web to find prospects, public bids and market information. · Based in the Northeast United States or Canada and comfortable working remotely. · Willing and able to travel at least one-third of the time to meet customers and support territory development. · Knowledge of treated wood products, wood mats, poles, railway ties or related industrial markets is an asset. · Strong communication skills, initiative, autonomy, and a results-driven mindset.
