Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English or French Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Bill of lading Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Maintenance and repair reports Trans-border documentation Trip reports Communication systems experience Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Transportation/travel experience International Security and safety Valid passport Criminal record check Driver's validity licence check Driving record check (abstract) Drug test Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Willing to travel cross-border Willing to travel internationally Willing to travel overnight Own tools/equipment Cellular phone Tools Personal suitability Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Organized Reliability Team player Screening questions Are you available to start on the date listed in the job posting?
