The Opportunity This role is suited to an experienced fund accountant who enjoys understanding how each fund works, solving issues rather than simply processing tasks, and being trusted to carry important deliverables from start to finish. You will be part of a global organization while having the opportunity to make a visible contribution locally. What You Will Own Maintain fund general ledgers, supporting schedules and accounting records for assigned alternative investment funds. Calculate and review net asset values, performance returns, management fees, carried interest or incentive allocations, capital activity and investor allocations, as applicable to assigned funds. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages, capital account statements and other client-specific reports. Complete period-end closes, reconciliations and supporting schedules accurately and within agreed timelines. Prepare financial statements, note disclosures and audit support files, and work closely with external auditors through the annual audit process. Review investor subscription documents and support investor due diligence and anti-money laundering processes in accordance with applicable requirements and company procedures. Provide operational support for banking activities, wire preparation, transfers, cash monitoring and account setup, subject to required controls and approvals. Maintain investor and fund records and respond professionally to client and investor questions, including online portal support. Support new fund launches and client onboarding, including accounting setup, reporting requirements and operating procedures. Identify practical opportunities to improve accuracy, controls, documentation, technology use and team efficiency. Maintain books and records in accordance with the accounting framework and reporting requirements applicable to each client, which may include IFRS, U.S. GAAP or other agreed standards. What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience. Three or more years of relevant accounting experience, including fund accounting, fund administration, asset management, alternative investments or a closely related professional services environment. Experience preparing or reviewing reconciliations, fund calculations, financial statements, investor reporting or audit support. Ability to organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, investigate discrepancies and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues. Strong attention to detail, professional judgment and commitment to accurate, well-documented work. Compensation and Benefits Expected base salary: CAD $85,000-$110,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in applicable incentive and benefit programs. Work Location and Schedule This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The regular hybrid schedule requires four days per week in the Vancouver office and one approved remote workday per week.
