Here’s what you will get to do…… * Receive some of the best hands-on training in the industry, learning and working alongside dedicated and compassionate professionals * Work in a place where innovation thrives and incredible career and growth opportunities await * Deliver quality patient care and excellent customer service * Enhance patient safety by ensuring the accuracy, quality, integrity and timeliness of pharmaceutical product preparation and release. * Develop and maintain non-sterile compounding policies and procedures; conduct non-sterile risk assessments; deliver training and skills assessments; and implement quality assurance controls in alignment with NAPRA non-sterile guidelines * Supporting Ontario College of Pharmacists Hospital Accreditation for non-sterile compounding. * Duties as a Pharmacy Technician, in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting along with repackaging, intravenous admixing * In collaboration with other Pharmacy Technicians, you will deliver appropriate teaching to pharmacy students Knowledge & Experience Required……… * Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) * Completion of OCP Non-Sterile Compounding Supervisor training course is an asset * Knowledge of the NAPRA Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Non-Sterile Preparations is an asset * Experience developing non-sterile preparation policies and procedures; completing risk assessments; delivering training and skills assessments; and implementing quality assurance controls aligned with NAPRA standards is an asset * Preceptor training with Ontario College of Pharmacists is an asset * Membership with the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (C.A.P.T) or Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacy (CSHP) is an asset * Minimum of 5 years of hospital experience or equivalent with non-sterile compounding experience * Sound working knowledge of computer applications i.e. EPIC and Microsoft Office * Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting conflicting deadlines * Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy * Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills * Experience in providing exceptional patient centred care * Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals * Satisfactory performance and attendance required THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.
