Your day at Trim Landscaping: To be successful in this position, you will work well as part of a team, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks. Day-to-day you will be working with a crew of 2-3 people with varied experience in construction and landscaping. You will be working on a variety of projects that could include laying pavers, planting trees, building retaining walls, pouring concrete or constructing a deck. Job Requirements: No formal education is required, although a high school diploma may be preferred. 1-2 years working in landscape construction or similar experience Willingness to undertake training if necessary. Reliable transportation to job sites Responsibilities: Assist various crews, such as carpenters, hardscapers and cement finishers in construction activities. Assist in the execution of construction, maintenance, or winter work projects as directed by the Crew Leader. Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and aid in other activities Regular interaction and promotion of positive relationships with fellow employees, clients, subtrades and suppliers. Attend training and certification workshops as required. Assist in the construction of walkways, patios, sidewalks and curb. Level earth to fine grade specifications using rakes and shovels Assist in the installation of lawn, garden beds, retaining walls, driveways etc. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment. Direct traffic at or near construction sites as directed. Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and by hand. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Perform other activities at construction sites as directed. Lift up to 50lbs Operate various tools and equipment including chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills etc. Snow removal in winter months Trim Landscaping is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
