Position Purpose and Summary The Assistant Coach helps with Canada West Team activities including games, practice, recruiting and player management. Key Areas of Accountability Canada West Team * Help MSOC Head Coach with training sessions, games, and player management (academics, character development, athletic development). * Help set game models and tactical plans. * Ability to travel to games and events when needed. * Main role is to help make sure training runs smoothly Recruitment * Watch local games and meet with recruits when needed. * Attend recruiting meetings and evaluate the current needs of the team. Key Interactions Reports: None Reports to: Head Coach, Men’s Soccer Job Standards and Requirements Education: * Undergraduate degree/ BA and previous experience in related field. * Preference given to those working towards a coaching certification (National Coaching Certification Program). * Valid Sports-Aid and CPR certificate are to be provided prior to commencement of employment and annually thereafter. * Level II or equivalent NCCP coaching certification preferred. Experience: * 1-2 years of experience in a varsity athletic program. * Experience playing at the University Varsity level required Knowledge and Skills: * Demonstrated skills and knowledge in elite level sport. * Excellent interpersonal skills and communication. * Ability to work with students, parents, head coach, faculty, staff, administration and members of the media effectively Personal Driven and inspired by the idea of positively impacting the various marketplaces of life through the development of godly Christian leaders by serving the Trinity Western University community. Requirements

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and possess 1-2 years of experience in a varsity athletic program, with prior experience playing at the university level. A valid Sports-Aid and CPR certificate are required, and NCCP coaching certification is preferred.
