Project Manager – AI-Assisted Application Modernization Software Development

Since 1996, Trisotech, a Quebec-based company, has been providing IT and engineering consulting services across Quebec through its consulting division, Trisotech-Conseils. Trisotech-Conseils is currently looking for a Project Manager – AI-Assisted Application Modernization Software Development to support one of our Quebec-based clients in the manufacturing sector. Position Details Role: Senior Project Manager – AI-Assisted Application Modernization Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 6 months renewable Location: Montreal (Hybrid preferred) or Remote (Nearshore) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week) English mandatory Resource Profile : Qualifications 8+ years of project management experience leading complex software development or application modernization initiatives. Proven experience delivering enterprise software projects using Agile methodologies. Experience managing external vendors, consulting firms, and system integrators. Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations. Experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications in medium-to-large scale initiatives. Skills Technical Knowledge Experience with cloud-based application development and modernization projects. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, software testing, and release management. Understanding of API-based integrations and enterprise application ecosystems. Experience working with ERP environments and SAP-integrated applications is highly desirable. Knowledge of application migration, modernization, and legacy system replacement initiatives. Leadership Competencies Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership. Preferred Certifications PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification PMI-ACP or SAFe certification AI, Automation, or Digital Transformation certifications are considered an asset Job Description The project involves migrating and enhancing obsolete legacy systems to modern, cloud-based web platforms while preserving critical business capabilities, SAP integrations, operational continuity, and security requirements. The initiative will be delivered using an Agile methodology and an innovative AI-assisted software development approach in partnership with an external delivery firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete project lifecycle, from planning through deployment and operational transition. This includes coordinating internal business and IT stakeholders, managing an external software engineering partner, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives, and driving organizational change management activities.

Oversee the complete project lifecycle of migrating legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms using AI-assisted software development. Coordinate between internal business stakeholders and external engineering partners to ensure alignment with scope, budget, and quality objectives.

Requires over 8 years of project management experience leading complex software development or modernization initiatives using Agile. Proficiency in cloud environments, DevOps, and SAP-integrated applications is highly desired.
