This posting is for a current vacancy* Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is currently looking for a Customer Service Specialist/Administrator to join our head office team in Owen Sound! The ideal candidate will be someone with proficient organization and communication skills and a proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment who is committed to providing the best support possible to ongoing objectives of the company. Responsibilities Receive, enter and process orders for fire system projects from Troy’s National branches with minimum delay Coordinate with project managers to verify order status, progress billing milestones, lead times, and back‑order updates, while assisting in resolving discrepancies, shortages, and returns Receive and process telephone, email messages and delivery related queries in a courteous and professional manner. Process change orders as required to initiate appropriate action Work with Finance team to resolve issues that may arise Work directly with Fire Alarm System Design/Drafting and Quotes Specialists as an intermediary when questions arise Initiate procedures necessary to locate short or lost shipments Produce packing slips and coordinate shipping arrangements Initiate and process R.M.A.’s as required and handle warranty questions Establish and follow the required follow up procedures to ensure all delivery commitments are met throughout all departments Manage backlog reports monthly with branch contacts Develop and maintain good working relationships with customer service team, suppliers, and other stakeholders within the business Other related duties as assigned Qualifications 3+ years' working experience in office administration Experience in a project administration environment is considered an asset Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field considered a strong asset Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve Strong oral and written communication skills Previous customer service experience required Accurate keyboarding skills are essential Ability to assess accuracy and completeness of source documents and information Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in processes and learn new product Ability to multitask and strong time management skills Why Work with Troy?
