The successful candidate will act as the national technical lead for Security Solutions across Canada, providing design, estimating, project support, and technical expertise to branch teams, customers, consultants, and contractors.Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd.is one of the largest suppliers of Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression, Security, Nurse call and Communications Systems in Canada. An entrepreneurial company with a legacy of success, we pride ourselves on having a team of industry leading talent and an exciting plan for the future.This position is for an upcoming vacancy.Troy is a 2025 and 2026 winner of the Canada's Best Managed program !Responsibilities: Supports and promotes Troy's Solutions portfolio, including Security Systems, Access Control, CCTV/Video Surveillance, PA/Intercom Systems, Nurse Call Systems, and Patient Wandering Systems. Provides technical support and consultation to customers, architects, engineers, sales teams, and field technicians. Oversees project execution, including system design, permitting requirements, material procurement, labour scheduling, installation support, and project closeout. Participates in work-in-progress meetings and provides regular project updates to stakeholders. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements. Coordinates and delivers training for branch personnel, technicians, and subcontractors on security and solution-based products. Supports national sales initiatives and provides field support as required. Evaluates and tests emerging technologies and products to support innovation and continuous improvement. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field. (preferred) 5 years of experience in the security systems industry. Strong knowledge of ULC Monitoring and Installation Standards, Access Control Systems, CCTV/Video Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Detection/Security Systems, Nurse Call/Healthcare Communication Systems, and PA/Intercom Systems. Experience with system design, estimating, proposal development, and technical documentation. Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship management skills. Proven ability to train, mentor, and support technical teams across multiple locations. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Canada as required.
