TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Analyst to work for one of Canada’s leading railway services and project solutions companies. This role offers the opportunity to work across finance and technology functions, helping transform complex data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making. This is a fully remote position that requires occasional visits to the office. Responsibilities: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to enhance reporting capabilities and improve process efficiency. Extract, transform, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources using SQL and other data management technologies. Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using reporting and business intelligence tools. Promote reporting best practices, data quality standards, and governance requirements across the organization. Provide support, training, and guidance to end users while driving adoption of reporting and analytics solutions. Assist with regulatory reporting activities, compliance requirements, and audit-related requests. Support the delivery of accurate and timely financial and operational reporting through effective reporting systems, controls, and validation processes. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing data Exposure to Python or cloud-based data platforms is considered an asset. Minimum 4 years of experience in financial reporting, business analysis, data management, or related analytical functions. Ability to compile full financial reports is a must. Advanced experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools; exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or reporting applications is an asset. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proven ability to work collaboratively across departments. Understanding of financial reporting practices and accounting standards; knowledge of data security and governance principles is beneficial. Experience working with enterprise business systems and integrating data into reporting and analytics environments. Requirements

Requires a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline, at least four years of relevant analytical or reporting experience, strong SQL skills, and advanced experience with Power BI or a similar tool. Candidates must be able to compile full financial reports and should have knowledge of financial reporting practices, accounting standards, data governance, and enterprise business systems.
