Job summary
TRS Staffing is seeking a Refinery Operations Manager to oversee plant operations, drive production performance, and lead a team in a fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Our client is a leading organization in the environmental and industrial services sector, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, environmental requirements, operating permits, and quality standards. Coordinate activities between operations, maintenance, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless facility performance. Act as a key liaison between plant personnel and leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment on operational priorities. Monitor plant performance, analyze operating data, and implement process improvements. Develop, review, and maintain operating procedures and best practices to support safe and efficient operations. Lead daily refinery operations to achieve production, quality, safety, environmental, and cost objectives. Support process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the planning and execution of plant shutdowns and turnarounds. Preform additional tasks as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, or industrial processing. Strong technical knowledge of continuous process manufacturing and refinery operations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Experience managing operational budgets and controlling production-related costs. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams. Proven ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions. Demonstrated experience managing production teams and driving operational performance.
