In this role, you’ll support both cannabis and vape/tobacco operations while delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining strict compliance with Ontario regulations. WHAT YOU’LL DO CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES * Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, professional approach * Provide knowledgeable recommendations on cannabis and vape products * Deliver a high level of customer engagement and product education * Upsell and cross-sell to meet individual and store sales goals * Handle customer questions or concerns with professionalism and care STORE OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE * Verify age (19+) in accordance with AGCO and provincial regulations * Follow all cannabis and tobacco compliance standards * Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising * Assist with inventory (receiving, stocking, rotating products) * Support store events, audits, and safety procedures KEYHOLDER RESPONSIBILITIES (AS ASSIGNED) * Open and close the store following company procedures * Complete cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting * Lead the sales floor in the absence of management * Ensure team adherence to policies, safety, and compliance * Act as a point of contact for staff and customers during shifts WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Must be 19 years of age or older * CannSell Certification (required before start date) * 1+ year of retail or customer service experience (regulated industry preferred) * Experience with POS systems and cash handling * Previous keyholder or leadership experience is an asset * Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills * Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to remain on your feet and actively move throughout the store for extended periods (8–10 hours per shift) * Ability to safely lift, carry, and organize inventory up to 40 lbs * Frequent bending, reaching, and stocking across multiple store zones (sales floor, stockroom, secure storage) * Strong attention to detail for tasks such as ID verification, cash handling, and POS operation * Ability to maintain focus, clear communication, and situational awareness in a fast-paced, regulated retail environment WHY JOIN TRUE NORTH? * Be part of a growing leader in Ontario’s cannabis and vape industry * Employee discounts and product training * Health benefits (for eligible employees) * Opportunities for internal growth and advancement * Supportive, team-driven workplace culture COMPENSATION & HOURS * Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Contract * Part-time: 0–31 hours per week * Full-time: 32–44 hours per week * Store hours may range between 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM, 7 days a week OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU True North Cannabis Co. & Associated Companies are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
