Sherwood Park, Alberta | Full-time, permanent $64,000 to $76,000 base, commensurate with experience Firm Overview True North Engineering Ltd. is a civil engineering consulting firm in Sherwood Park, Alberta, providing design, construction engineering, and infrastructure services to municipal, commercial, and private clients across the province. We are seeking an engineering technologist for a long-term, full-time role with room to grow. Role Description A hands-on technical role working directly with the principal Professional Engineer, with exposure to the full project lifecycle. You will produce drawings and project documentation, support civil and infrastructure design, and assist with construction engineering and field reviews. The work is a mix of field and office, varying with the projects underway. Responsibilities Drafting and drawing production in AutoCAD and Civil 3D Civil and infrastructure design support: grading, drainage, site servicing, and roadworks Construction engineering and contract administration support Construction inspection and supervision Survey support and field reviews as projects require Preparation of reports, field memos, and project documentation Coordination with clients, contractors, and subconsultants; support for proposals and quality control Qualifications Civil Engineering Technology diploma from NAIT, SAIT, or an equivalent accredited program Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with ASET, or eligible and willing to register 2 to 5 years of civil/infrastructure experience Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Strong written and verbal English; clear communication with clients, contractors, and the public Valid Alberta driver's licence and reliable vehicle; willing to travel to project sites Adaptable to a small-firm environment with varied responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Municipal infrastructure experience Depth in Civil 3D design and modelling Survey or construction engineering experience Compensation and Benefits Base salary $64,000 to $76,000, commensurate with experience Health Spending Account Two weeks vacation Mileage reimbursement at CRA rates Direct mentorship from the principal Professional Engineer; growth in a technical role with increasing responsibility How to Apply Submit resume and cover letter to careers@tneng.ca with subject line "Application – Civil Engineering Technologist - [Your Name]". What you’ll do
