About Us We are building the future of insurance. We’re building Canada’s first full-stack AI insurance carrier purpose built for the next generation. Customers receive a frictionless process with instant-bind policies and claims handled by AI, including vision models and drones and robotics in the long-term; requiring no human intervention. This creates a better customer experience, and superior unit economics for our business. We are currently closing a $2M USD pre-Seed round and looking to build fast. The Role In this role, you will help lead the technology agenda, leading development and deployment of our entire tech stack, most critical of which will be our claims handling and fraud detection. You will work side by side with the CEO and Head of Engineering in building out our product roadmap and determining and executing hiring needs for the team. What You’ll Do Own development of highly critical systems and platforms core to our business Work with our founder to execute on our vision Build out your team to best serve our product roadmap What You Bring Strong software engineering / computer science background Knowledge of ML / AI systems, cloud infrastructure, etc. (security, compliance is a plus) Experience building customer-facing products from scratch Entrepreneurial and able to thrive in an ambiguous environment Prior experience either as a technical Co-Founder or at an early-stage startup is a plus, but not required Why You Should Join You are excited to build something from the ground up, and act as an owner You want to see your work implement in real-time and make an impact You are comfortable and ready to take a risk

Requirements

A strong software engineering or computer science background is required, along with knowledge of ML and AI systems. Experience in building customer-facing products and a background in early-stage startups are preferred.
