TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting a TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This position is based remotely from your home office with regular office/site visits across Saskatchewan, primarily in the Saskatoon/Regina area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional with a strong technical background in electrical, power systems, automation, or instrumentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts across Saskatchewan while identifying new business opportunities and supporting customers with innovative power system solutions, electrical protection technologies, and automation systems. You’ll be responsible for: Identifying, assessing and delivering business development opportunities Directing research activities to identify emerging market opportunities and monitoring competitor activities Preparation of proposals, reviewing proposal pricing and content, and preparing marketing materials. Ensuring alliance with the clients corporate strategy as well as ensuring compliance with our clients processes and policies Planning and conducting negotiations as required to deliver on objectives and manage high quality, fit-for-purpose valuation models Managing contributions to appraisals and planning processes Managing, maintaining and communicating existing, and new industry and commodity knowledge Maintaining relationships and effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Travelling to specific locations to make pitches and finalize sales Fostering relationships with new and existing customers or clients Identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and following up to close sales Creating engaging and informative sales presentations Estimating installation and maintenance costs to provide transparent purchasing advice Hosting the company product or service demonstrations Regularly report on sales performance and provide insights to senior management. Must haves: 5+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Automation, Power Systems, or a related field Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and grow business within an assigned territory Strong understanding of industrial, utility, electrical, automation, or power system environments Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and capable of independently managing priorities, goals, and customer relationships. Valid driver's licence and ability to travel regularly throughout Saskatchewan Proficiency with sales reporting, customer relationship management, and forecasting activities Ability to work effectively from a home office while managing a geographically dispersed customer base Nice to Have: Experience in any of the following would be considered an asset: Experience selling electrical protection, control, automation, SCADA, power quality, substation, or grid monitoring solutions. Familiarity with utility, generation, transmission, distribution, mining, manufacturing, or industrial customer environments. Experience working with manufacturer representatives or electrical equipment distributors. Knowledge of microgrid technologies, protection relays, arc-flash studies, or power management systems. Experience supporting products from leading power system equipment manufacturers. Established network of utility or industrial contacts within Saskatchewan. Don’t check every single box? Candidates must have strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, be able to manage a territory independently, hold a valid driver's licence, and travel regularly throughout Saskatchewan.
