We are currently looking to hire Dock Supervisor Reporting to Terminal Manager, this position is responsible for the efficient operation of a high-volume dock within the Cambridge terminal. Basic Duties: Planning loads to deliver within the Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph city Ensures all dock employees are operating in a safe and efficient manner Processes all inbound loads from various origins and P&D terminals in a timely basis Ensures all outbound loads depart on time and full as per network schedule Drives revenue growth through accessorial/cubing/reweigh activities Utilizes the staffing/equipment levels that are aligned with volumes and budget Provides daily accurate reporting of KPIs and activities Monitors and checks dock processes frequently to ensure quality and compliance Directs the dock team effectively with clear communication Ensures all resources the dock team requires are available and in working order Collaborates with other supervisors and managers in the pursuit of continuous improvement Complies with all Corporate policies and procedures Qualifications & Experience Required: Possesses a high level of energy and willingness to learn · Experience routing LTL freight in Cambridge surroundings Minimum of 3 to 5 years of transportation and supervisory experience; College or University Degree preferred · LTL experience an asset Demonstrates the ability to adapt well to change Excellent practical approach to problem solving Customer service oriented Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Possesses exceptional personal integrity and strong values Has the courage and conviction to do “the right thing” Leads by example, results driven Education: Post-secondary education or equivalent preferred How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and Cover letter on LinkedIn
