The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and distributing project documentation for a large-scale natural gas pipeline construction project. This role ensures that all technical, quality, and project-related documents are accurately controlled, traceable, and compliant with project and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have minimum 5 years of document control experience within construction or industrial projects and demonstrated intermediate knowledge of EDMS platforms, particularly Procore. Job Description Key Responsibilities Set up, maintain, and manage document control processes in accordance with project standards Upload, track, distribute, and archive documents using EDMS systems, primarily Procore Ensure all drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence are current and properly version-controlled Coordinate document workflows between engineering, construction, quality, safety, and project management teams Monitor document status, revisions, approvals, and transmittals Generate document control logs, reports, and trackers as required Perform quality checks to ensure document accuracy, completeness, and compliance Maintain confidentiality and integrity of project documentation Support audits and regulatory reviews by ensuring proper document traceability Assist project teams with EDMS usage and document retrieval when needed Qualifications Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a document control role, preferably within pipeline, construction, or industrial projects Intermediate hands-on experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) Procore experience is preferred (intermediate level or higher) Strong understanding of document numbering, revision control, and approval workflows Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to manage high document volumes in a fast-paced project environment Preferred Qualifications Experience on natural gas, oil & gas, or pipeline projects Familiarity with Alberta-based construction or regulatory documentation standards Exposure to engineering and construction drawings (IFC, shop drawings, as-builts) Procore, SharePoint, or other EDMS experience is an asset Additional Information What's in it for you... 100% covered health and dental benefits for you and your dependents (including paramedical services) Health spending account, to top up expenses not covered in the benefits program RRSP option with company matching Annual learning and development budget Access to a range of online learning tools, and support for career development and growth Coverage of one professional membership or license fee per year, if directly related to your role We believe in work-life balance, so you can recharge and take care of what matters most with vacation, flex and sick days A flexible, hybrid work approach that allows colleagues to find balance between their professional and personal lives Commitment to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture that promotes a sense of belonging This posting reflects an existing vacancy that we are actively hiring for.
