This is an ideal opportunity for a recent journalism graduate, an early-career reporter or an experienced journalist looking for meaningful part-time work. You'll play a key role in producing timely digital content for some of Canada's leading business-to-business media brands while gaining experience in online publishing, newsletters, social media, editing and audience engagement. About Turnkey Media Solutions Turnkey Media Solutions publishes respected business publications that serve professionals across Canada, including: Inside Logistics reaching key decision-makers in Canada's transportation, distribution, logistics and warehousing industries. CARS covers the Canadian automotive repair industry with business and technical content that helps shop owners, managers and technicians work more efficiently and profitably. And Jobber News has served Canada's automotive aftermarket distribution industry since 1931. What you'll do As junior editor, you'll help ensure our websites and digital platforms remain current, engaging and informative. Responsibilities include: Write breaking news stories and daily web content for InsideLogistics.ca and AutoServiceWorld.com Take ownership of both websites by ensuring fresh, timely and accurate content is published daily Produce and schedule digital content using our content management systems Prepare and distribute daily and weekly e-newsletters Manage social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts that drive audience engagement Proofread and edit articles, newsletters and other editorial content Research story ideas and monitor industry news and trends Coordinate and schedule podcast interviews with industry guests Support the senior editor with other editorial duties as needed What we're looking for The ideal candidate is curious, organized and eager to learn. You don't need decades of experience—we're looking for someone with strong journalism fundamentals and a desire to grow. Qualifications include: Diploma or degree in journalism, communications or a related field, or equivalent journalism experience Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills Strong news judgment and ability to write quickly under deadline Familiarity with Canadian Press style Comfortable using content management systems (WordPress) and social media platforms (LinkedIn) Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small editorial team Interest in business journalism, transportation, logistics or the automotive industry is an asset, but not required Why join us?
