As TutorCraft continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IB Computer Science Tutor to support Grade 11–12 students completing the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). Role Description We are seeking a part-time IB Computer Science Tutor to provide engaging, one-on-one online tutoring to IBDP students. The tutor will help students strengthen their understanding of IB Computer Science concepts, prepare for assessments and examinations, and become more confident applying their knowledge independently. This is a flexible remote position requiring approximately 2–4 hours per week, depending on student demand. Pay: $18–$20 per hour Location: Remote / Online Commitment: Approximately 2–4 hours per week Responsibilities * Conduct engaging online tutoring sessions for IBDP Computer Science students (Grades 11–12) * Teach concepts according to the IB Computer Science curriculum and assessment expectations * Explain challenging concepts clearly and adapt explanations to each student’s learning needs * Help students develop strong problem-solving, computational thinking, and programming skills * Support students with exam preparation, past-paper questions, and IB-style practice * Identify areas where students need improvement and provide targeted practice * Create lesson plans, worksheets, practice questions, and other learning materials when required * Provide constructive feedback and help students track their progress * Encourage students to become more confident and independent learners * Maintain reliable communication regarding student progress and upcoming lessons Requirements * Must have completed the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) * Must have studied IB Computer Science * Strong understanding of IB Computer Science concepts and assessment expectations * Strong programming and problem-solving skills * Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, patient, and student-friendly way * Strong written and spoken English communication skills * Reliable internet connection, computer, and suitable environment for online tutoring * Organized, punctual, dependable, and able to prepare appropriately for each session Preferred Qualifications * Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or peer-support experience * Currently pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field * Strong performance in IB Computer Science * Familiarity with IB past papers, mark schemes, Internal Assessments, and exam preparation strategies Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who remembers what it was like to be an IB student and can turn that experience into effective support for current students.
