Job summary
This role is focused on launching and producing a new B2B technology podcast, The API to Europe, which features in-depth conversations with founders, operators, and investors who have scaled technology companies across Europe. With three episodes already recorded, the podcast editor will oversee the entire post-production process and ensure a seamless launch on major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube via Flightcast. The position requires expertise in editing interview-style podcasts, managing both audio and video deliverables, and creating engaging promotional content for social media. The initial workload covers three backlog episodes, with ongoing production of two to four episodes per month. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and experienced in B2B podcast production, ready to start immediately. Deliverables Edit and master audio for each episode, including level balancing, noise reduction, removal of filler words and dead air, and integration of intro/outro and music bed. Produce video or branded waveform versions for YouTube. Design a reusable thumbnail template for each episode. Create 3–5 captioned vertical clips per episode for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. Draft show notes and episode descriptions for review. Ensure timely delivery with a 5–7 business day turnaround per episode. Requirements Proven experience editing and producing interview-style B2B or technology podcasts. Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar). Familiarity with video editing for YouTube and social media platforms. Strong skills in noise reduction, audio leveling, and content editing. Ability to create engaging short-form video clips and thumbnails. Experience with podcast distribution platforms, especially Flightcast. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to provide 2–3 relevant full-episode editing samples, ideally with short clips from the same episodes. Availability for ongoing part-time contract work, with flexibility to handle 2–4 episodes per month. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
