Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience Work setting Retail business Tasks Hire and train or arrange for training of staff Authorize payments by cheque Authorize return of merchandise Establish work schedules Sell merchandise Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Organize and maintain inventory Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers Supervision 3-4 people Computer and technology knowledge Point of sale system Employment terms options Evening Employment terms options Night Support for newcomers and refugees Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.) Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition Support for youths Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school graduation certificate and between one to two years of relevant experience. Proficiency with Point of Sale systems and the ability to work evening and night shifts are required.
