Industry: Healthcare Staffing About the Role UMS Healthcare Agency is seeking a motivated and organized Business Development Coordinator to support the Agency Manager in expanding our healthcare staffing business. This role will focus on identifying prospective healthcare clients, conducting outreach, building relationships, booking meetings, and helping coordinate new staffing opportunities with our internal scheduling team. The ideal candidate is confident communicating with healthcare decision-makers, comfortable with phone-based outreach, highly organized, and motivated by business growth. Key Responsibilities Research and identify prospective clients, including long-term care homes, retirement residences, hospitals, healthcare management companies, and other healthcare organizations Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective facility partners Conduct outbound calls and emails to introduce UMS Healthcare Agency and our staffing services Connect with key decision-makers such as Directors of Care, Executive Directors, Administrators, HR Managers, and Staffing Managers Qualify leads and identify potential staffing needs Schedule meetings and appointments with prospective clients Conduct professional follow-ups with leads and existing contacts Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, follow-ups, meetings, and business development activities Assist with preparing proposals, presentations, service information, and other business development materials Support the Agency Manager with client relationship development and business expansion initiatives Coordinate with the scheduling team when new client staffing requests or opportunities arise Help ensure client requirements and staffing needs are clearly communicated to internal teams Follow up internally on staffing requests to support timely service delivery Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the staffing process Assist with other agency operations and administrative responsibilities as required Qualifications Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Sales, or a related field is preferred Previous experience in business development, sales, lead generation, customer service, healthcare staffing, recruitment, or healthcare administration is an asset Strong telephone communication and professional email skills Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with prospective clients Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities Excellent organizational and follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple leads, appointments, and priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or lead-tracking systems Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with management and scheduling teams Knowledge of Ontario’s healthcare, long-term care, retirement, or staffing sector is an asset What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is proactive, persistent, professional, and results-oriented.
