At UPGC we are a small but mighty team leading the purchasing & distribution functions for all goods and services supplied to our KFC, Pizza Hut & Taco Bell franchisees' restaurants. We are currently seeking a Manager, Accounting & Reporting to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and team leadership while ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). What You Will Do As the Manager, Accounting & Reporting, you will: Lead and oversee the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, cash flow projections, and analyses to support executive and Board reporting. Perform revenue recognition analysis and ensure accurate accounting treatment in accordance with ASPE. Support annual budgeting and financial planning activities. Review GST/HST filings and ensure timely compliance. Monitor cash flow and treasury reporting activities. Drive process improvements and maximize the use of SAGE 300 for reporting and operational efficiencies. Ensure compliance with ASPE and internal control policies. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting functions. Partner with external auditors and support annual audit activities. Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives. What You Bring We're looking for a finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership experience and a continuous improvement mindset. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation. 6+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting experience. 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAGE 300. Strong understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting skills. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in restaurant, retail, foodservice, or related industries is considered an asset. Why Join UPGC?
