For more than 80 years, the United Way Centraide SDG has strived to break down barriers, create opportunities, and improve lives in our region. Our role is simple: to unite. We are here to bring people and organizations together in the public, private and social sectors across Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Cornwall, and Akwesasne to find innovative and effective ways to tackle complex social issues. We fund a network of local agencies that offer vital programs to thousands of people across Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Cornwall and Akwesasne. We strive for balance in what we fund. We fund programs that focus on prevention, that meet people where they are currently and that unlock someone’s future potential. Our goal by funding a range of programs is to take a multi-pronged approach that is layered and complex just like the local issues we are tackling.
